So, I have given my clients I am highlighting today a mention previously on my design page on Facebook, but also on my personal Digital creator page, Jennifer Sutton. This site was for my in-laws who own a local couture eyewear shop in Short Pump, Va. The previous website was first created by Amy Blase, using a Web Builder CMS tool with a hosting company that did not allow any other website builders or access other than this one tool. This was extremely frustrating for them because it did not allow for ANY real updates or upgrades to the look of the website. Only what could be found within the builder’s templates already.

Even for myself, I have been able to work around many types of builders like this, but this one was extremely restrictive on the design side of things. The most I was able to do was add a new logo to the home page. But there was no way to add that logo to any other pages in the header, like you may see on so many other websites that you visit.

Branding is so important for small businesses, and the more your visitors can see your logo, in whatever variation you are displaying it, the better for your business.

The worst thing for any small business is to be forgettable.

The impact to a person’s memory for a small business can be the logo artwork, the colors chosen, the photography of the product or services offered, etc. If its a brick and mortar storefront, it might be the smell of the place when they walk in, soft music playing in the background, the paint colors, or lighting. So much can go into making a lasting impression so that people feel your vibe, and want to return – whether physically or digitally.

With that said, my clients errr….in-laws wanted to have a website that truly reflected the name of their business – Couture Eyewear Gallery. The request was to have it be modern, somewhat minimalistic to keep it clean, but also to allow the extremely high fashion eyewear they were featuring to be very visible and prominent to the site visitor.

They have some other highlights they will be adding later, but the need for this upgrade/redesign was incredibly needful – as you can see below. So without further ado, I present the newly redesigned Couture Eyewear Gallery website! I have also linked their store below so you can visit their site and give it some love! If you are looking for an exceptional shop for your next eyewear purchase, give them your consideration. Your eyes and your fashion sense will thank you!
